About the Bronx Trans Health Equity Project
We’re recruiting trans and nonbinary people for a paid research study!
Are you interested in participating in a 75-minute online interview about your experience in medical clinics and with healthcare providers? We want to know what makes it easier or harder to get medical care and how we can make our clinics and providers more gender-affirming. If you choose to participate, we’ll ask you about your experience (or lack of experience) in healthcare settings. If you qualify for the study and complete your interview, we will provide you with a $100 digital gift card.
This study is led by a group of community members and researchers at the PRIME Center for Health Equity at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY. Our research team aims to take a non-judgmental, trans-affirming approach to research. Our goal is not to stigmatize, but to learn more about your experiences in an effort to make tangible changes in the quality of healthcare that trans people receive. We want to make it easier for trans people in healthcare settings and ensure our hospitals are less stressful for trans and nonbinary people to navigate. We want to acknowledge that trans communities are diverse and we do our best to ensure that our study materials are trans-affirming and celebratory of the diversity that exists within trans communities.
